Club Mission:
To showcase Military Vehicles from around the world, from the past, to the present and to the future. A club where resources and tech savy artists and individuals can provide information on said vehicles for other artists to improve.
Rules:
Now, before getting into the rules of the club, you must first and foremost respect the rules of DeviantART. Other than that...
1) THERE IS TO BE NO FLAMING. Pure and simple. Do not flame fellow members pieces. We are here to be helpful by providing informed and well-reasoned critiques on art pieces or technical information for people to create pieces that are more realistic in the future. If you cannot handle giving constructive criticism, then find something about the piece you do like, or say nothing at all.
2)LIKE MILITARY VEHICLES!!! You would think this would be understood, but it is best to say it anyways. You do not have to like a military of a specific country, but we are not about the politics here. We are about the machinery. We can all tolerate poking some fun at our beloved machines, but if you are outright hostile, do not waste your time hanging around here. Go do something productive.
If you have some military vehicle themed art, please note us a link with a subject title of “Submission.” It will be added to our favorites gallery. Therefore, it is recommended that members browse the faves gallery on occasion and support their fellow artists. Images will not be submitted into the main MVC gallery unless they are relevant to club activity, as in it was voted on by members in the club, or it was made specifically FOR the club.
Also, keep this in mind…You don’t have to be a member to submit artwork! We don’t discriminate against those who chose to just support but not be a member. That is perfectly ok.
What is accepted:
Chariots, catapults, trebuchets, frigates, ironclads, trains, battleships, airplanes, tanks, armored fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, helicopters/choppers, artillery, missile launchers, aircraft carriers, mechs...anything and everything that is a military vehicle, past present and future are accepted for favorite submission, in any and every art form that exists, from photographs, to plastic models, to live machines, to statues, to CG, to 3D models...bring us your machines of war in whatever format you like!
We’ll definitely have contests in the future, so when we have a contest, send a note with a link to your art in it with the subject title of “Contest Submission.” Pretty straight forward. Then we will put it up in the contest journal for everyone to see, along with all the other entries.
If you would like to become a member, please note the club with a subject title of “Request to Join.” Adding us to your friends list is nice, but you will not be added to our members list if you do not send us a note requesting such.
However, it is recommended that members add the club to their friends list. This will send updates made into your messages and keep you informed and up to date on the club.
Q: "What do I have to do as a member?"
A: You can do as much as you want. Submit art, vote in polls, participate in contests, spread the word about the club, or simply just be a member. There's no obligation for you to do anything other than be a member. Real Life comes first, so you do what you can when you can.
Q: "Is it permissible to submit others works as possible favorites?"
A: Yes. It is part of our charter to showcase others works. Please Note the club with the pertinent information.
Q: "What constitutes a vehicle being military?
A: It's more or less straight forward. If it "feels" military it probably is
Just submit them in a note to the club and we'lll take a look"
Q: "You guys invited me to join, if I accept, what do I do?"
A: If you accept, then it's a done deal! Just add the icon to the club somewhere in your journal or somewhere, and that's it.
Please note the club if you have a question that is not answered in either the main journal or within this one. Check both first before you ask questions.
